Myoung-sic Jang is the owner chef of classic
French cuisine "L’amitié".
"L’amitié" means friendship in Korean and it emphasizes the
importance of the mindset to make food based on good ingredients and service.
Myung-sic Jand, who dreamed of becoming an engineer before starting his career
as a chef, scientifically designed the flow of the kitchen and table for French
cuisine that changes taste every 10 or 20 seconds.In order to present the most
flavorful dishes to table, distance from kitchen to table has layed out to be
less than a minute. Rather than innovative fusion recipes, Jang is dedicated to
serve classic French cuisine with the best local ingredients.
Chef Jang who first started his career as a chef at the Westin Chosun Seoul, has accumulated various experiences through 'The Ninth Gate', Italian restaurant 'Yesterday'. After taking over L’amitié in 2006, chef Jang received his first Michelin Star in 2017.
